Minnesota E-Bike Rebate

The Electric-Assisted Bicycle Rebate (e-Bike Rebate) in Minnesota is designed to reduce the cost for residents who want to purchase a new e-bike. A discount of up to $1,500 is offered on an eligible e-bike through the e-Bike Rebate. The actual rebate amount depends on the buyer’s 2023 tax return and their AGI income.

It ranges from 50% to 75% of the total cost. Minnesota taxpayers residing in the state who are over 15 years old and not dependents are eligible for this rebate. The application portal for the e-Bike Rebate reopens on July 2 at 11 a.m. (Central Time).

How much will Minnesota E-Bike Rebate provide?

The rebate amount is based on the total cost of the e-bike you intend to purchase.

When you buy an e-bike, the program considers the actual price you pay, including any taxes, fees, and accessories. Your annual income plays a crucial role in determining the rebate amount.

If your income falls within the specified thresholds, you’ll receive a higher percentage of the rebate. The rebate percentage varies, ranging from 50% to 75% of the total cost. The maximum rebate amount per e-bike is $1,500. To estimate your potential rebate, refer to the e-Bike Rebate Certificate Values document.

If your AGI is at least $0 and less than $54,001 in joint filing, then you are eligible to get 75% of your E-Bike total cost. And if all other filers have AGI between $0-$29,001, then they are also eligible for 75% of total cost.
