CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Has taken a lead roll in submitting the proposal for NBA re-Accreditation for all the seven UG programs defining PEOs (Program educational objective and outcomes) complying with new format as per Washington Accord and successfully faced the NBA evaluation team during Oct and Nov 2012 and achieved re-accreditation.
Sphere headed the initiative of increasing strength at UG level and introduction of new PG courses.
Actively involved in steering the various academic activities and administration for accreditation and taken a lead role in getting all the seven branches accredited by NBA.
Introduced various continues faculty monitoring and evaluation system for the better quality of teaching learning process.
Instrumental in making the entire campus Wi-Fi enabled and GMRIT had the credit of being the first engineering campus in AP with technology enabled learning facility.
Initiated the launching of LAN based course materials by all the faculty members on ongoing basis, supplementing the class room learning and enabling the self learning environment for the students and GMRIT had the credit of having more than 300 courses on LAN.
Initiated the formation of Mathematics club among the faculty to inspire and motivate the students in understanding the importance of mathematics in Engg. Applications.
Initiated the formation of SAC (Student’s Activity Center ), a student centric facility, encouraging and motivating the students towards liberal arts with innovative ideas and thoughts in areas of technology, creativity, literature, Music and film making.
Sphere headed the initiative of getting NAAC accreditation for the institution with “A” grade and going towards Autonomy status from UGC is in process.
Responsible and sphere headed the collaboration project with Perth college UHI, Scotland to offer B.Eng in Aircraft engg, twinning program on tripartite MOU between Perth , AU/JNTU-K and GMRIT.
Instrumental in signing an MOU with Environmental Research Institute (ERI) of UHI , Scotland to establish CoE in “Environmental Engineering and Management” to address the issue in various communities of Srikakulam
Sphere headed the initiative of getting GMRIT conferred with Autonomy from UGC from the year 2012-13
Delivered an expert lecture on the topic “Rapid prototyping” as part of ISTE staff development program at Sir C R R college of Engg, Eluru, in the month of March 1999.
Delivered a lecture on the topic “DST sponsored entrepreneur development programs and schemes for young engineers” in a one month Business skill development Programme organized by MSME at GMRIT during 24th Nov to 24th Dec 2008

Delivered a lecture on “Machine Vision applications in Intelligent Manufacturing Systems -An Overview” in a two day staff development organized by Mech. Engg. Dept of AU college of Engg., Andhra University under TEQUIP grants during 16th and 17th of March 2009.
Delivered a Key note address on “ Copenhagen ’s summit 2009- An overview” in a two week AICTE sponsored SDP titled “ Evolving challenges in Energy and environment” organized by chemical engg dept during 19th April to 1st May 2010.
